How to choose the right one
Check heater wattage
You should verify the wattage to match your room size. The top pick offers a 1500W heater, which is ideal for medium-sized spaces. This power level ensures efficient warmth without overworking the unit. The second model does not list its wattage, so you must check the manual for details. Higher wattage generally means faster heating for larger areas. Always compare this spec to your room dimensions to avoid underheating or wasting energy on a small space.
Verify smart compatibility
Smart home integration depends on voice assistant support. The leading model works with Alexa, allowing you to control it via voice commands. This adds convenience if you already use Amazon devices. The second model lists Wi-Fi app control but does not mention voice compatibility. You should check the app store or manual to confirm if other assistants like Google Home are supported. Ensure your router is compatible with the required Wi-Fi bands for stable app connectivity.
Review control methods
Look for multiple control options for flexibility. The best overall unit includes a remote, smart app, and voice control. This variety lets you adjust settings from anywhere in the room or remotely. The second model relies on Wi-Fi and app control, lacking a listed remote. If you prefer physical buttons or a handheld remote, the first model is safer. Check the included accessories to see if a remote is provided or sold separately for your chosen unit.
Assess installation type
Installation style affects where you can place the unit. Both models support recessed installation, fitting into walls for a sleek look. The top pick has a width of 16 inches, while the second is 60 inches wide. Measure your wall space carefully before buying. Recessed units require specific framing or cutouts. If you cannot modify your wall, check if the manufacturer offers surface mounting options in the detailed specifications.
Consider visual impact
The size of the flame display matters for aesthetics. The second model features a 60-inch width and a slim 3.94-inch depth, creating a wide visual presence. This suits large rooms where a statement piece is desired. The first model is also 60 inches long but has a different depth profile. Choose the width that fits your wall space. The height and depth specs determine how much of the unit protrudes from the wall, affecting the overall look.
